Connected search and analytics data
When you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, GTM requests read-only access. Search Console supplies the properties you can access and their search clicks, impressions, queries, pages, click-through rates and average positions. Analytics supplies your accessible GA4 properties and aggregate session, referral and landing-page metrics for requested reports. These connections do not authorize GTM to edit your website or Google properties.
GTM uses the selected property and dates to produce the analysis, explanations and drafts you request. WorkOS manages authorization credentials. Our hosting and AI processing services support storing the evidence and generating your requested agent results. OAuth tokens are not included in model prompts or browser reports. Saved SEO evidence is restricted to your account in the selected workspace; another member must connect their own account.
Search Console comparison reports and daily detail are retained for up to 90 days. New broader audit reports are retained for up to 90 days by default. Previously saved retention preferences continue to apply. Expired reports stop opening immediately and stored evidence is removed by bounded background cleanup. You can delete a saved report from its controls or delete all your search data in Settings, Data, Search data. Whole-workspace search deletion removes your own reports and daily evidence, preserves other users’ data and recorded usage, and allows fresh collection on later runs. Deleting a report removes its saved evidence, drafts and review decisions. Excerpts already included in chat messages or Library files have separate deletion controls and retention.
Disconnect the integration in Settings or revoke access in your Google Account to stop further access. Disconnecting does not itself delete previously stored reports or messages. Public keyword and website research can operate without a Google connection and uses the URLs, keywords and market you select.
People research and contact checks
GTM sends the names, company names, public profile links, website URLs and search terms needed for your research to research providers. These include QuickEnrich, Blitz, FullEnrich, Apollo, Exa, Perplexity, Firecrawl, TinyFish, HarvestAPI and a company data service. Some requests go through Treg. A partner research service handles research when your workspace has its own connection.
GTM checks email addresses and phone numbers found during research, saved in the Directory or read from a connected CRM. It also checks recipients before preparing an email to send. Email checks use ZeroBounce, MillionVerifier and Kitt through Treg. Phone checks use HLR Lookup through Treg. Checks send the address or number, with a country hint when needed for a phone number. Treg receives a workspace identifier for usage tracking. A recent saved result or evidence from exchanged mail can avoid another check.
Check results are stored under keyed hashes, without another plain-text copy of the address or number in the check table. Directory addresses remain encrypted separately. Results are normally reused for 30 days; some inconclusive results are checked again after one day. Unconfirmed contact details are withheld from Directory views and research results. Checking a connected CRM does not change its records. Email and phone checks reduce uncertainty but do not guarantee delivery or that a number belongs to a particular person.
Two separate layers
Workspace style helps GTM communicate consistently across your organization. Your interaction profile remembers only operational preferences such as response length, answer shape, reasoning depth, initiative, and progress cadence.
What contributes
Workspace style learns gradually from substantive messages in shared Slack threads where GTM participates. Your profile learns only from durable preferences and corrections you direct to GTM in web chat or Slack. Human-to-human messages, quoted material, documents, code, forwarded content, links, secrets, bots, and apps do not contribute.
Explicit durable preferences apply after they save. Implicit corrections require repeated aligned evidence across separate observation windows; one interaction never changes the applied profile. Implicit candidates remain in evaluation mode until the accuracy gate is approved.
What GTM saves
GTM saves bounded preference values, compact aggregates, confidence, versioning, and timestamps. It does not create another copy of messages or save quotes, names, personal facts, topics, embeddings, psychological labels, or a model-written description of you.
Where it applies and your controls
Private web chats and Slack DMs can use your complete interaction profile. Shared Slack keeps the organization’s voice dominant and applies only practical working preferences for the clear requester. Current instructions and an file’s target audience always take priority.
Pause, resume, or reset your profile in Settings or the private Slack App Home. Pausing retains the compact profile but stops learning and application. Reset deletes your saved and learned preferences. Organization admins cannot browse other people’s profiles.
Product analytics and session replay
GTM uses PostHog to learn how people find and use the website and the product. We record named events, such as a page view or a click on Sign up or Book a demo, with fixed labels for the page and the button’s position. Events never include what you type, chat text, email addresses or the addresses of links. PostHog also receives standard browser details, such as the browser type and screen size.
Session replay records how pages change while you use them, so we can find confusing steps and fix bugs. On this public website, replays show pages as written. In onboarding and the signed-in product, your browser masks all text, form values, labels and links that leave GTM, and hides images, videos and embedded content, before anything is sent. Those replays show layout and clicks, not your data. Replay never records console output or network traffic.
When you book a demo, the booking link carries an anonymous visitor ID to Cal.com, so we can count bookings that started on this website. Your name, email and booking answers are not sent to PostHog. Your name, email and the meeting time are posted to our team’s Slack so we can prepare for the call.
